Google Instant debuts today: Google announced today the launch of Google Instant, which will now provide Google searchers with instant search engine results (SERP’s) with practically every key stroke they make.
In other words…as you start typing in the familiar Google search box, Google now instantly displays new, relevant search results as you type your keyword phrase. If you were searching, for example, for a “prepaid credit card” your search results would change after every word. This means that people can now scan results pages while they type versus waiting until after they’ve submitted their search engine queries. This is a huge game-changer for Google and clearly places them as the only search engine that truly gets it by providing users with relevant search results in a much much much quicker time
What does this mean to you: If you are a business owner and you are not currently engaging in paid search, you better think again about that stance. Practically, the only way you’ll be visible is if you are paying for Google AdWords. Otherwise, you’ll have to be one of the top three organic results in order to be seen.
