Drupal & WordPress on the same couch?

By October 27, 2011 One Comment

Ninthlink buddy Matt Young was talking about a photo that Drupal-founder Dries showed him, of Dries and WordPress-founder Matt Mullenweg sharing the same couch. After some quick googling, it looks like that stemmed from a rad event (SchipulCon 2011) that both spoke at. I really dug reading that write-up of their talk – especially when asked how each benefits from the other’s existence.

“If WordPress wins, Drupal wins. Because that means Open Source is winning.” – Dries

“Competition is good. Anytime any firm or product does something amazing, the bar has been raised.” – Matt
